在日前揭晓的2017年度G-Mark评选结果中，明基WiT MindDuo儿童护眼台灯成功获得GOOD DESIGN AWARD的表彰。创设于1957年的日本G-Mark设计大奖（优良设计商品选定制度），是日本国内家喻户晓、具有高度影响力的设计奖项，也是全球四大国际性设计奖项之一。

受賞概要

WiT MindDuo is the first table lamp with wider 95cm lighting range and automatic detection for family to read together. The built-in light sensor automatically detects and adjusts accordingly to provide the optimal brightness setting. The presence detection function allows the lamp to turn on automatically when users enter the detection area, and will turn off automatically if they leave for 30 minutes. The lamp provides two preset lighting modes for digital and book reading, and also allows users to adjust the brightness and color temperature manually.

背景

We found out through a user-experience research that children often forget to turn on the light when they study and so damage their own eyesight. At the same time, parents wish to protect the vision of their children, but generally do not know whether the illumination is bright and wide enough. That is why we wanted to create a table lamp for children and parents to use together; a lamp that turns on when the child sits down at their desk, that offers both a wide and evenly spread light, and that is able to tell the parent whether the light is bright enough or not.

デザイナーの想い

We believe that lighting plays a key role in improving the quality and comfort when children and parents are reading together. That is why WiT MindDuo offers the presence detection function, a 95 cm wide illumination range, and an ambient light sensor that automatically adjust the optimal brightness setting to make sure the most suitable lights for them. Its childlike airship design smartly fuses the control knob to the top of the light. The knob’s indicator light circle is inspired by the sun and rainbow, symbolizing the natural light that accompanies you. We insist on a product with no sharp edges, that is non-toxic, anti-shock, and other safety designs, like other children’s toys, to ensure that both parent and child can enjoy discovering and have fun without any worries.
