在日前揭晓的2019年度日本G-Mark评选结果中，明基BenQ投影机环保包装成功获得GOOD DESIGN AWARD的表彰。创设于1957年的日本G-Mark设计大奖（优良设计商品选定制度），是日本国内家喻户晓、具有高度影响力的设计奖项，也是全球四大国际性设计奖项之一。

BenQ Projector Molded Pulp packaging is an eco-friendly solution to reduce packaging waste. It passed drop and crash tests without additional padding. The flat surface economizes storage and transport space. Unpacking requires only one step to remove the product. The non-composite materials are easy to recycle, and contain waterproof components to resist moisture deformation.

2.It can pass load-bearing and drop tests, avoiding product damage incurred by collision or dropping.
3.With compound-free and 100% recyclable paper pulp material, it effectively reduce 80% of plastic.
As e-commerce sales break new records every year, we are producing mountains of packaging waste. To reduce, to go green, and to be recyclable have been the three key points to address in the problem of packaging pollution. We have called for a mechanism whereby retailers and consumers can diligently recycle and reuse. More importantly, we would like to solve the problem at the source of product manufacturing. That is why we started by reforming the traditional packaging for projectors, and boldly adopted the one- piece design that combines both the external box and internal buffer and effectively reduces 80% of packaging waste without losing required logistical functionality.
The structural reinforcement of the molded pulp material is achieved by calculating the optimal width and numbers of ribs to offer protection for the contents. Drastic curves are avoided for steady stacking and space saving. The reduced packaging design allows for much easier unboxing and removal of contents without removing multiple layers of protection. The designers were directly involved in deciding on packaging material, structural design, and unboxing behavior design. We also took the initiative to reach out to technical subcontractors, and reconstructed a pattern of cooperation with the parallel engineering department in the company. The new pattern has made new ideas more acceptable and practical to businesses.
