在日前揭晓的2015年度G-Mark评选结果中，明基BenQ GW70系列显示器成功获得GOOD DESIGN AWARD的表彰。创设于1957年的日本G-Mark设计大奖（优良设计商品选定制度），是日本国内家喻户晓、具有高度影响力的设计奖项，也是全球四大国际性设计奖项之一。

受賞概要

GW70 series is a monitor tailored to deliver HD quality and sophistication. The slim, matte minimalist frame and glare-reducing hairline base help users to focus on the screen. Its wide VA panel shows great color at all angles. The low blue light hotkeys and two HDMI ports with signal switch hotkeys are benefit for quick mode switches and easy setup. GW70 series echoes the core spirit of minimalism, achieves stability with a T-shaped base takes up minimal space, and is equipped with necks extend back for more space underneath. The quick release structure reduces packaging for easy assembly.

背景

Network popularity and maturity in hardware and software for HD video have urged consumer to watch high-quality displays. But when HD enthusiasts pick displays with general panel specs, they often compromise between appearance and audio-visual playback due to economic concerns. Thus, the GW70 series seeks to offer an alternative for high-quality experience at affordable prices.

With the GW70 series, we hope to offer consumers a quality viewing experience with affordable prices. Thus, we focused on every detail and employed clean lines, a hairline texture base, and a checked back cover to reflect professionalism, making the display suitably matching with other audio-visual equipment on the desk.

企画・開発の意義

As Leonardo da Vinci famously quoted: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” The GW70 series offers a minimalistic experience from the inside out without sacrificing the design texture of the monitor, allowing average consumers to enjoy affordable, quality pictures.

創意工夫

1.A clean matte, slim frame with a hairline texture base reduces glare, allowing users to enjoy the HD display undisturbed.

2.An 8-bit 3000:1 contrast wide viewing VA panel removes space limits by showing great color at all angles.

3.Audio-video enthusiasts usually spend more time on displays. Therefore, GW70 series equipped a low blue light hotkey to make rapid adjustments.

4.Cater to various external connection demands from HD fans, GW70 series provides two HDMI ports with signal source selection hotkeys to reduce the inconvenience of swapping out plugs.

5.The T-shaped base balances stability with minimum space while the neck extends back for more room underneath. The quick release structure of the neck and base reduces packaging for environmental protection and easy assembly.

審査委員の評価

GW70 seriesのデザインは、ユーザーがよりディスプレイの画面に集中できるよう配慮している。ベゼルの前面はつや消しで細く、台座の表面にはヘアライン加工を施し、わずらわしい反射光線を抑えている。視野角の広いVAパネルには、設定にブルーライト低減モードを加え、どんな角度でも美しい色合いと目への気配りを同時に実現している。2つのHDMI端子の入力切り替えができるショートカットキーで、迅速に入力源を切り替えることができる。台座は面積のより少ないT型で、後部に伸びたネック部分が組み合わさり、安定しているだけでなく、デスクの空間をより広く使える。
