创设于1957年的日本G-Mark设计大奖（优良设计商品选定制度），是日本国内家喻户晓、具有高度影响力的设计奖项，也是全球四大国际性设计奖项之一。在日前揭晓的2014年度G-Mark评选结果中，Hatha LED台灯成功获得GOOD DESIGN AWARD的表彰。

The Hatha Light is an LED table lamp that bends like a human body. Inspired by Hatha Yoga, it is formed with a zinc alloy metal base and bendable rubber lamp body, which makes it highly flexible. The lamp allows users to adjust freely at different angles and height to meet their needs. Adopted with high power LEDs and lens design, the Hatha Light delivers sufficient brightness for reading purposes, and reaches high light efficiency. The Hatha Light represents a balance of strength and beauty, the table lamp that lights up your inner life as well.

背景

With the increasing demand for energy efficient product, the application of LED technology becomes common in light industry. However the design of most LED lighting on the market seems to be too technical. Therefore, our designers inspired by yoga create Hatha light to delivers a soft sensation other than its functionality.

経緯とその成果

Designers are inspired by hatha yoga, which is an inner-peace-seeking exercise. Adjustable and able to twist at any angle, the Hatha Light represents a balance of strength and flexibility.

デザイナーの想い

The fusion of metal and silicon rubber offers high flexibility symbolizes hatha yoga exercise which makes it user friendly for users to adjust easily. Also the special lens design of LED offers sufficient brightness and soft light for others to read more comfortably. As LED does not contain mercury and other hazardous substances the lamp can also reduce harm to the environment.

企画・開発の意義

The design of Hatha lighting tends to offer a high flexibility lamp for users to freely adjust in different angles and heights for specific needs. The application of LED possesses the advantages of high energy efficiency, capable of outputting high brightness with 4.8 watt. Through this high power LEDs and lens design, the Hatha Light can deliver sufficient brightness for reading purpose.

創意工夫

With a flexible spine embedded into a silicon rubber lamp shell, the Light mimics the bend of the human body, allowing users to twist and adjust at various angles. Just like the poses in Hatha yoga, this design can also stimulate imagination. Further on wards it can also lay flat for easy storage. The delicate design of zinc alloy base is stable and adds a contrast to the rhythm of the lamp shell, Hatha light is therefore an exquisite combination of rubber and metal.

審査委員の評価

これは楽しく実用的なLEDスタンドのデザインだ。外観の材料・製造面では、チタン合金を用いた金属製の本体と曲げることができるゴムのライト部分から成り、使う人は、どのような照明が必要かに合わせて、角度や高さを様々に調節することができる。この商品は高出力のLEDとレンズデザインを採用することで、ものを読むために必要な十分な明るさを実現している。この商品のデザインの最大の特色は、東洋のハタヨガの考え方に由来している点であり、体を柔らかくくねらせるハタヨガの精神が実用化されて商品に活用され、それによってスタンドは力と美しさにあふれたものとなっている。
