在10月1日最新公布的2020年度日本G-Mark设计大奖评选结果中，明基ZOWIE XL系列专业电竞显示器成功获得Good Design Award的表彰。Good Design Award是于1957年创设的日本唯一综合类设计评价推荐制度。它是一项“通过设计以丰富产业生产以及生活文化”的运动，每年都吸引大量来自全球的企业或设计师参加。迄今为止，获奖总数已逾50000件，而作为获奖的证明以及荣誉象征的“G标志”，也为广大消费者认可并推崇。

Gaming competitions are all about skill, stability, and speed. Gaming tools are crucial to winning. Regular monitors are not designed for professional gamers and cannot solve gamers’ pain points, such as keyboard and mouse position, monitor height and angle, and reducing visual distractions. Moreover, relevant adjustments and switching of display settings require complex setup performed by the OSD. Therefore, on the hardware side, we attempted to solve gamers’ pain points such as the position of gaming equipment and user comfort. The simplified OSD offers flexibility for gamers to customize the hotkey menu, allowing them rapidly to set their preferences.

The base design focuses on minimizing size and thickness, preventing the keyboard connector from touching the base. The design offers gamers flexibility in placing equipment and adaptability to various extreme-use scenarios. The shield protects gamers from surrounding distractions and is easily installed or removed due to its hook design. The back of the monitor has a retractable hook for storing headphones without affecting the shield. The mount holder allows gamers to easily carry the monitor to gaming venues. The redefinable hotkey menu and customized models achieve higher efficiency. The S-Switch offers intuitive operation and allows gamers to switch to their preferred settings with a single click for all kinds of gaming events, helping them to be ready to game at a moment’s notice.

近年盛り上がるeスポーツ等の大会用に、プロゲーマー向けの「勝つため」のゲーミングモニターとして様々なゲーマーの嗜好性や使用シナリオへの適性を提供・実現している事が高く評価される。多くのストレス対応にも観察調査を行い徹底して取り組んでいることにも感心させられる。会場へ運び入れるための配慮から、ケーブルの取り回し、ゲームイベントごとの設定を１クリックで切り替えることができるS-switchなど、ユーザーのパフォーマンスを最大限に発揮するための新機能と柔軟なカスタマイズ性は、細部にわたりゲーマー視点や習慣性による設計が施されており、今後のカテゴリーの発展に大きな期待が高まる。
