在日前揭晓的2015年度G-Mark评选结果中，明基BenQ RL55系列主机游戏显示器成功获得GOOD DESIGN AWARD的表彰。创设于1957年的日本G-Mark设计大奖（优良设计商品选定制度），是日本国内家喻户晓、具有高度影响力的设计奖项，也是全球四大国际性设计奖项之一。

RL55 series are professional gaming monitors tailored for console gamers. Featuring low input lag, RL55 series enhances a smooth gaming experience when compared to TV. With black matte finish bezel, RL series can reduce glare and reflective light to eliminate visual distraction. A hotkey designed beneath the display allows users to switch between inputs. With TPU strap on the ridge of the triangular base, RL series can offer convenient storage of controllers or keyboards. With a black and red color combination, RL series continue the modern style of BenQ gaming monitors.
背景
Peripherals are introduced to the booming gaming market. As BenQ is a preferred brand for tournament displays, we found gamers use TVs and PC screens for their consoles so that they don’t have to share the TV when using their own screens, and because some games are PC versions. Yet, the home gaming market lacks monitors designed for it. So, BenQ launched the RL55 series to fill this need.

Joy from gaming depends on the game itself as well as its peripherals. The RL55 series seeks to bring more joy and comfort to gamers via spec tuning, interface designs, and peripheral integration.
デザイナーの想い
Effective tools are a prerequisite for good work. A good display offers users a better experience. Enhancing the experience extends beyond performance; according to our target group, whether the screen can blend in to the usage environments they’re accustomed to is even more important. The RL55 series seeks to deliver more comfort to gamers.
企画・開発の意義
The RL55 series provides gamers with monitors they can focus on comfortably, as well as quick and easy switching to the best mode under different usage scenarios. Through the thoughtful design for storing and integrating peripherals, gamers’ desks are cleared for flexible space.
創意工夫
As a gaming monitor, the RL55 series focuses on enhancing display performance. we observed through in-depth interviews to meet the overall environment needs of target users. The most prominent innovation of the RL55 series is the storage design to integrate other gaming peripherals. The design details not only maintains a clean and beautiful shape, but also offer gamers a simple and intuitive storage solution: 1. The beveled base combined with an ingenious hidden anti-slip TPU design allows gamers to place their controllers or keyboards easily. 2. The screen tilts back to provide a space for a controller without affecting storage of the keyboard. 3. The back of the screen has a foldable hook for conveniently storing headphones, reducing the amount of desk space used.

RL55 series家庭用据え置き型ゲーム機のプレイのために設計されたゲーミングディスプレイ。応答速度の速いパネルで画面の動きはなめらか、つや消しベゼルで反射光を抑えるとともに、ボタンキーで設定調整や入力源の迅速な切り替えができ、プレイヤーはPCディスプレイであってもスムーズなコンソールゲームプレイが楽しめる。周辺デバイスの収納ニーズにも配慮し、斜めになったつや消しのスタンドには滑り止めのTPU（熱可塑性ウレタン）を組み合わせたデザインで、ゲームコントローラーやキーボードを手軽に置くことができる。ディスプレイの後方にはイヤフォンの収納のためのフックがあり、気配りが行き届いている。
