在日前最新公布的2021年度日本G-Mark设计大奖评选结果中，明基BenQ X3000i 游戏投影仪成功获得Good Design Award的表彰。Good Design Award是于1957年创设的日本唯一综合类设计评价推荐制度。它是一项“通过设计以丰富产业生产以及生活文化”的运动，每年都吸引大量来自全球的企业或设计师参加。迄今为止，获奖总数已逾50000件，而作为获奖的证明以及荣誉象征的“G标志”，也为广大消费者认可并推崇。

By increasing the height of the product, we can reduce the surface area of the base and solve the problem of insufficient space on the shelf behind the sofa or on the coffee table. The projector has been designed with magnetic, adjustable legs to satisfy the needs of placing the projector upside down on a high shelf behind the sofa.

As the global gaming market continues to grow, game consoles accounting for 32.2 billion, representing an annual growth of 6.6%. This will no doubt drive the sales of external display equipment. Unlike regular home projectors on the market, the X3000i cares more about latency. When playing gaming with projectors on the market, the latency is very obvious, which worsens the gaming experience even when playing non-competitive games. Looking at the overall market conditions described above, our target demographic is 30 to 35 year old casual gamers who enjoy relaxing by gaming and who are willing to spend money on gaming equipment. Our project provides refined and immersive graphics, sound settings specially calibrated for games, low latency, and easy-to-setup installation.

When placing projectors on a shelf behind the sofa or on the coffee table, this is often a lack of space for placement. Many users would place items under the projector to the adjust the angle when projector placed upside down. 1. Magnetic, Adjustable Legs To satisfy the requirement of upside down placement, we have designed magnetically attached legs. So, they can attach the legs to the projector and stop it from sliding or falling through the special design. 2. There is limited space when placing the projector on the coffee table or on a shelf. We increased the height of the projector to reduce the area of the base. 3. Balance Between Home Appliances and Gaming Design We incorporated the style of black appliances to make the front appear as a whole piece of glass and gaming atmosphere.

As TV’s become larger, they create a problem of lack of space, so these type of home projectors are becoming increasingly popular as an alternative to big screens. Often though projectors are designed for the office environment, and little is considered for home use. In this case we have a nice example of a well-designed home projector, It has a clean and compact form, the designers have tried to minimise surface area required to install it so it can fit neatly in many places. The overall aesthetics are very clean and well balanced, and the product is simple to operate and understand its functions. Good, well considered design. An improvement would be to reconsider the legs on the current product.
